About the Show

How do we handle the changes COVID created in our lives?  Join us on Women Lead Radio as Barbara Eldridge, your host of Trend Setting Women, has a conversation with Judith Greer Essex Ph. D, Owner & Professor at the Expressive Arts Institute, on how expressive art therapy can be used as a basis for discovery and change. All five disciplines of the arts: visual, dance/movement, music, drama/theater, and writing/poetry can give you a richer vocabulary to work, play and grow a life you love living.

About Your Guest

Judith Greer Essex was part of the pioneering spirit in San Diego bringing the arts into mental hospitals, residential treatment centers and other places where people needed the boon of the arts. Judith has always been near the nexus of arts and community in San Diego. In the 1970′s she created Dance Jam, a monthly movement experience that still runs in San Diego “I wanted to create a place where dancing was not a prelude to a pick-up, but rather a form of free personal expression.” Expressive Arts Institute brings the power of the imagination and the arts to your endeavor. She teaches both and applies the theories and principles of expressive arts to education, business and therapeutic environments. With nearly 40 years of experience in arts for change, program development, adult education, team building, curriculum development, and healing and therapy, her programs can give a jump start to any career or project.
