Currently, I am still in my full-time career as Senior Merchandise Planner for Aeropostale while also the owner and baker of Lil’ Biggs Bakery.
I have been in the financial/retail planning field for a little over 11 years and have worked as a Senior Merchandise Planner at Ralph Lauren, Coach, Ann Taylor, Club Monaco and Aeropostale. My full-time career is based in NYC, so I work east coast hours on west coast time. This allows me to focus my afternoons on growing Lil’ Biggs Bakery.
I created Lil’ Biggs Bakery in the fall of 2013. Ever since I was a little girl, baking has always been a passion of mine. My grandmother taught me to bake so family and baking go hand in hand for me.
Over the past 10 years, a lot of my close friends and family members became gluten sensitive and lactose intolerant. The options in the gluten free market at the time were less than impressive. I saw the need in the market for delicious allergy friendly baked goods and got to baking. I converted some of my grandmother’s recipes to gluten-free and dairy-free as well as created my own recipes. My goal is to provide delicious gluten-free and dairy-free baked goods to my customers without sacrificing taste or texture.
As I look forward into 2017, my business goal is to form wholesale relationships with grocery stores, wellness centers, and restaurants.”
