Michelle Beauchamp

Local Sales Manager – Spectrum Reach
Co-Owner – The Champ Group

Her passion is building people up and helping them grow. Michelle’s primary emphasis has been on Sales, Leadership,Training and Coaching. Michelle has been a sales leader and trainer most of her professional career. She’s worked in the Telecommunications industry for over 20 years. Michelle is a Local Sales Manager for Spectrum Reach where she leads a team of sales professionals. Primary emphasis is to increase client acquisition; create the best strategies for marketing their businesses on television and the internet to ensure client retention; while creating and rewarding a solid culture of respect, accountability and fun.

The Champ Group works with community and business leaders through Mastermind Groups, and coaching in personal and professional development. Her breadth of corporate and entrepreneurial experience provides Michelle with the ability to relate to clients in both arenas. She’s also owned a direct marketing franchise, a Sandler Sales Training franchise and was a Senior Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

She served in a leadership role on the Board of NAWBO-OC (National Association of Women Business Owners) for five years. She served for two years as Vice President of Programs where she oversaw and emceed the monthly networking dinner meetings. Prior to that she launched the Business Development committee of NAWBO-OC. She enjoys being around positive, motivated women (and men) determined to excel.

Michelle has been married to Clarke for 35 years, and has two adult sons, Evan and Alex. She also has a vivacious Wheaton Terrier dog, Pinot, who she rescued two years ago.

She finished her fifth consecutive Avon Walk for Cancer in Santa Barbara in September, where she walked 39.3 miles over two days. Michelle had the fortune to be photographed at her third walk in San Francisco, the photo was featured in the national print and digital campaign of Oprah Magazine. Her individual efforts have raised over $19,000 over the last five years. She was also selected to lead a team for the Oprah Magazine, and in the last two years, represented Team O in Santa Barbara, where with the two years combined, they raised $100,000

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading good books and discussing them in her book club fondly known as “Booked Solid Sisters”.

Pattie Grimm

Pattie joined Microsoft to led and transform their Enterprise Sales Teams to be a customer-centric and
sales excellence company. She worked on many Worldwide projects to transform Microsoft to be world-class sales/service leaders and sales professionals. Pattie spent three years in the Asia Pacific Region, where she led the region’s custsomer and partner excellence teams.

Pattie owns her own change leadership, team development and business transformation consulting firm. She has multiple year client relationships with Microsoft, The Los Angeles Times, Mattel Toys, Total Performance (Ultramar) Oil, Intel, HP, City of Costa Mesa, State of Washington, and many others. Her company transforms her client’s businesses through strategic planning, business process re-design, leader, and team development.

Pattie holds a B.A. degree in Marketing and Education from California State University and is recognized as one of the top Women Leaders by the Executive Women’s Association.

Eve Gumpel

Owner – Good Writing Matters
Founding Partner – Women Lead Publishing

An editor to the bone, Eve Gumpel corrects friends in mid-sentence and screams at NPR reporters for grammatical errors. She can’t leave an awkward sentence alone.

Reading has been a favorite pastime since she learned how, starting with Superman comics and eventually graduating to science fiction, fantasy and mystery novels. When Eve needs to recharge, she gets lost inside a book for hours at a time.

Now, after careers in both journalism and public relations, Eve is the owner of Good Writing Matters. She is a founding partner of Women Lead Publishing and an associate editor of Women Lead magazine. She is also a certified ghostwriter. She provides both her ghostwriting and editing expertise to Women Lead publishing to help clients produce a book they can be proud of.

Marty Kurner

CEO – Hawden Group USA, Inc.

Marty Left home at age 19 to live in Anchorage Alaska, were she was a proud military wife & mother at Elmendorf AFB for 6 years. Marty was appointed as Director of Military Affairs at Davis Monthan AFB by the Governor of Arizona and the Mayor of Tucson and served her country for 4 years.

She served on the Executive boards for The National Navy League and the USS Tucson Submarine. She has had many opportunities to travel in the USS Tucson submarine and to work side by side with the hero’s in our military.
Marty has a long 30 year history in the hotel business with a degree in Culinary Arts and Food & Beverage Management.

Marty has worked for Sheraton, Ritz Carlton, and Hilton Hotels, Wyndham and many privately owned Resorts and Spa’s including Canyon Ranch. She has been an Executive Chef, Catering Director and National Sales & Catering Director, troubleshooting for 450 hotels directly reporting to the CEO of Wyndham Hotels. Marty was awarded Catering Director of the Year and National Sales & Catering Director of the year….with over 24 million in sales in 4 years.

Marty has been trained as a mezzo soprano, sang for the Seattle Opera Company for 3 years. She is now in the professional choir at the Crystal Cathedral. Marty accomplished a lifelong goal ad was asked to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2013.

Marty is very busy giving back to our community through Rotary, an 18 year member where she begun an Eldercare Committee to help those older Rotarians get through their last chapter of life. Now she sits on the Literacy Committee with LB Rotary bringing, “Reading by nine” to area schools and giving over $400,000.00 in books to these schools. Government Affairs Chair at LB Chamber, Woman’s Business Council President for 2 years where she and her board raised more than $25,000 to support small businesses. She supports The LB Day Nursery, Suits for Woman and Sarah’s House for abused Woman & Children. Along with making meals for families staying at the LB Ronald McDonald House. Marty sat on the board for Girls and Boys Clubs and now devotes her time with For the Child in Long Beach as their Treasurer and executive board member.

Quarterly, every chair sold, Hawden Group USA gives $5.00 to Non-Profits.
Marty decided to change her business plan 17 years ago to work in the Furniture & Design business. Beginning from the bottom up, she now runs her own successful dealership as a 100% Woman Owned Business. In the second year of business, The Hawden Group fulfilled its financial goal to hit over a million dollars in sales. Hawden Group USA is now six years old!!!

Hawden Group USA only sells American Made, using American workers and local manufacturers promoting other small businesses. Providing our economy with income and provides creation of jobs. All products provided to Hawden’s customers are sustainable and Green Guard certified.

Mary Van Dorn

Smart Real Estate Podcast interviews leading agents, inspectors and consultants to provide an all inclusive educational experience for homebuyers, sellers and professionals associated with real estate transactions.

Many loan officers can get you a loan. Mary’s mission is to be your loan consultant for life. She has been working in the mortgage industry for over 30 years and is proud of the many families in which she has served multiple generations. Mary and her team pride themselves on always focusing on the unique needs of each client. She takes a consultative approach to the home loan process by customizing each transaction to help her customers achieve their home financial goals with a wide range of mortgage choices, excellent rates and flexible financing terms.

Born in New York, as a teenager her family moved west to California where her parents soon became top producing real estate agents in Southern California. CA. She learned the dedication and tenacity it takes to be a top producer in a competitive market. She learned to appreciate the value of relationships between lenders and real estate agents and how integral it is to a successful smooth closing.

Mary is a strong advocate for helping in your community. She has dedicated over 11 years working with a family homeless shelter on several committees and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors. She has served on Development Boards for a private school and child safety programs.
