About the Show

Wage and hour workplace issues have been prevalent for many years, and still plague employers and employees today. Who is exempt? Who is non-exempt? When is paying overtime a requirement? Large employers find ways to handle the issues. Small and mid-sized companies have no safe harbor, as there is no “small employer exemption” to most state or federal wage and hour laws. Our guest today works primarily with small-mid sized businesses, and will share with us how wage and hour apply to them. Join us today on Women Leading the Way Radio as Cecile Bereal, your host of Serving Up Diversity, interviews C.J. Westrick, Owner of HR Jungle. Ms. C.J. Westrick, SPHR is a certified human resources professional who has been in human resources management for over 20 years. She started HR Jungle, her consulting firm, 7 years ago and specializes in working with small to mid-sized businesses whom don’t need full-time HR staff but want senior-level expertise.
